June Half Term...
The studio will be open every day from 10am-5pm for ceramic painting and t-shirt designing, there's no need to book just turn up. There are also a host of fun workshops which you can book. It's a great way to learn some new techniques and experiment with different materials.
Queen's Jubilee BIG LUNCH!!!

BIG LUNCH 2012. The first Sunday of June every year is the BIG LUNCH a community project aimed at getting neighbours and friends together to eat and be merry! (www.thebiglunch.com)
This year to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee we will be hosting the BIG LUNCH and you are invited. Bring a dish and we'll provide tables, chairs and some arts and crafts activities. It's a great way to get to know your neighbours and please do invite friends along. If it rains we'll retreat into the studio but if not we'll enjoy the outdoors and hopefully the beautiful sunshine. Decoupage Jubilee dish
Create a funky Jubilee souvenir by learning the art of decoupage. This workshop will teach you how to decoupage onto glass to create a trendy glass dish. Queen's Guard canvas hanging
There are lots of fun techniques to learn in this workshop...sewing, painting onto canvas with acrylics and beading. For those new to crafts this workshop will teach you some great basics which you can apply to many different types of crafty activity. You will also go home with a beautiful handpainted, stitched and stuffed Royal canvas to hang anywhere in your home.

Your own ceramic medal for the start of the olympics
Get ready for the opening ceremony by painting your very own olympic medal. You don't even have to go through gruelling training regimes and competitions just paint yourself a gold! Each medal comes with a Union Jack ribbon to put round your neck. £8 each.
Olympic opening ceremony t-shirt
Draw a design for your t-shirt on a piece of paper and colour it using our special inks then we will heat press it onto a brand new t-shirt for you. There will be lots of olympic themed pictures and stamps to use to create a souvenir olympic t-shirt ready for you to wear home and watch the opening ceremony. When it's printed it's completely machine washable and the colours are really vibrant...almost neon!

Fun with Fabrics week
Monday 30th July- Friday 3rd August 10am-4pm
Spend a whole week at the studio taking part in lots of fun workshops which involve everything to do with fabrics. There will be two projects a day with shorter activities in between, like our finger knitting competition!
The projects will be...make your own sock monkey, tie dye t-shirt and bag making, macrame bracelets, needle felting, stick and loom weaving, stitch and sew your own skull or button heart decoration and giant french knitting to name but a few...
The Fun with Fabrics week is a great place to learn all the basic techniques to be able to go forward and make brilliant crafty things out of fabric with confidence. Fun with Fabrics week is a fun and educational way to entertain the children during the holidays for only £150 per person for the week including all materials (10% sibling discount). Everyone will learn lots of new things and take home some great projects. If you would prefer to join in for one or two days the day price is £35 per person. Suitable for ages 7+ and adults.

Animation Workshop
Monday 20th August to Friday 24th August 10am-4pm
This three day workshop is a great opportunity to have a go at animation, master the basics and watch your characters come to life. Great for those with an active imagination!
Day One: Storyboard your character and write a script for what will happen to them in your mini movie. Start designing and building the set.
Day Two: Finish the painting and final touches to the set and start building your character and props with professional animation clay.
Day Three: Animate!! Capture every movement of your character on recording equipment and learn how to turn it into you're very own movie animation. There will be a showing (including popcorn) of all the movies at 3.30pm. Parents and friends welcome.

Fuzzy felt pencil cases and purses

Fimo Modelling Monsters
Friday 31st August 1.30-3pm
The studio will be open from 10-5pm for ceramic painting but in the afternoon you can come and join in this arty workshop. Make some really fun Moshi Monster inspired fimo creations. Using bright coloured modelling clay which sets hard in the oven you can have a great time making very strange and funny monsters. Bring a picture of your favourite one to make a lifelike copy!
