Knit and natter group
Every Tuesday 7pm-9pm
Experts and beginners welcome. Bring friends and some wool and enjoy learning a new skill or brushing up your knitting and crochet techniques. £3 per week including free refreshments. No need to book just pop along for some crochet and knitting fun!

Ceramic crystal and metallic heart
Tuesday 14th May 7-9pm
This heart is painted using 4 different 'specialist' glazes which you paint on in a specific order. A great project that looks black and bumpy before it goes in the kiln and comes out bright, shiny and beautiful. Refreshments will be provide, you supply the chat!

Learn to throw a pot with Leyla
Thursday 30th May- Book early to avoid disappointment
We are very pleased to be able to offer you the opportunity to learn how to throw a pot. Leyla from The Ceramics Studio in Bermondsey will be coming to the studio for the day and hopes to introduce as many of you as possible to the thrill and enjoyment of throwing your own pot. Alongside Leyla Gemma will be teaching you how to make a pinch pot owl or bat. We will bisque fire your creations for you. The cost of this joint activity will be £20 per person but if you just want to throw a pot it is £16.

Peg loom workshop
Saturday 1st June, Monday 29th July & Sunday 10th November 2013 10-3pm
Peg looming is a fun and easy craft to master and with the use of some funky looking wools you can make a bag similar to ours. We will also teach you how to finger knit the strap.
We are making a memory rug on our large pegloom, using up all those old school uniforms and rugby shirts so this doesn't have to be an expensive hobby once you have the know how.

Peony and rose field open day
Saturday 15th June 10-4pm
The peony and rose field will be open for visitors to come and admire the blooms. Using the blooms we will be running a floristry workshop where we will show you how to make a country style hand tied bouquet and a centre piece for a table.

Vintage Enamel jewellery workshop
Sunday 23rd June and Sunday 15th September 2013 10am-2pm
Enamelling is an ancient art where glass is fused onto metal and this workshop will introduce you to a variety of techniques to make your own beautiful enamel jewellery. During the workshop you will be able to make a vintage styled charm bracelet which you can attach the four enamelled copper charms which you have made and some fun brass charms. You will also learn the art of decaling printed images onto glass which creates a beautiful vintage effect.

Silver Clay beginners Workshop
Sunday 30th June 2013 10am-3pm
Learn how to make your own unique solid silver jewellery using a special silver clay produced in Japan. Once fired the clay turns into 99.9% solid silver. We will teach you how to shape the clay, add patterns, detail and attach findings. You will take home one or two beautiful pieces of silver jewellery.

Learn the art of Felting - Felt slippers, a bag or a beret
Sundays 16th June, 14th July, 8th September, 20th October and Saturday 16th November 2013 from 10-4pm.
This is a great workshop run by our guest tutor Rosemarie Lukehurst. With a little bit of elbow grease and a lot of fun you will transform dyed woollen fleece into a roasty toasty pair unique slippers, a beret or a bag.

Folky heart plate
Tuesday 16th July 7-9pm
Spend an evening creating this folky heart plate. The pattern comes from an old embroidery book and is traced onto the plate so don't worry if you are a beginner or think you're not good a free hand painting there will be templates to help you. There are also special tools to help create petals and hearts and you can choose any colour way.

Flower tray project

This project is for those of you who would like to try something new, using wax resist and elemental glazes. Not necessarily a beginners piece but one for those of you who have mastered three layer coverage! We will supply the artwork and the know how to enable you to produce this beautiful dish. (35cm long) There will be tea and biscuits to keep you going!

The Christmas Elves Washing line project
Saturday 2nd November 10-2pm
This is a project for beginners and experts alike. There is some painting and glueing involved in making the box frame but most of the day will be spent pattern cutting, using running and chain stitches, attaching buttons and bows and the making of a miniature tassel.

Candle Decoration Workshop
Friday 6th December 2012 7-9 p.m.
This is a fun workshop where we will show you how to decorate candles using napkins. The workshop includes enough materials to make one medium sized candle and one smaller candle. Additional candles can be purchased or alternatively if you have some hidden away in a draw please feel free to bring them along for the treatment.
